The wine is a vibrant deep crimson color. A punchy and expressive cabernet bouquet with redcurrant, cassis, clove and olive on display. The palate is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and manages to create a long and even finish.
Penley Estate was born from the marriage of two pioneering wine families, the Penfold's and the Tolley's, two pioneering South Australian wine families.
Today the estate is owned by sisters Ang & Bec Tolley, and like their ancestors they are strong, resilient and determined women.
Their history is a rich mix of endeavour, passion and vision with a touch of scandal and madness thrown in for good meaasure.
