LITTLE BLACK STONE - SAUVIGNON BLANC

MARLBOROUGH - NEW ZEALAND - 2015

Bright, light straw with hints of golden hues. Lemon and lime citrus, fresh green herbs and lifted aromas of green capsicum. Crisp citrus with hints of stone fruits. Finishing with fresh herbal overtones a fine minerality and classic Marlborough grassiness. The individual parcels that were blended give this wine a rich layered complexity and textured mouthfeel. The wine is balanced with a long easy to drink finish. Food pairings: Great with appetizers, fragrant summer salads and seafood dishes. A wine to enjoy lingering over a long lunch or to start a fantastic evening. Info: Ripe and fresh fruit from our estate vineyards in the Waihopai Valley. Early morning harvesting at cool temperatures has retained the luscious character of the berries. The individual portions were skilfully blended to ensure that each batch contributed to the layers of flavour in the final blend.

VINEYARD

There’s a small block in our vineyards in Marlborough with clay-based earth that has little black stones scattered through it. Winemaker Ant Moore took the grapes from this vineyard and made a wine that we named Little Black Stone because that's what we call the block. It is a wine that captures the classic Marlborough grassiness and delivers subtle tropical fruit undertones. We don't want to say to much, just encourage you to give it a try and enjoy. Little Black Stone is Fruit driven, vibrant. It's designed as a great value affordable everyday luxury.
