A light and smooth Rioja that is aged for twelve months in American oak barrels. Deep ruby red. Red fruits, liquorice, with mineral hintsunderlain with spicy and toasty notes from aging in barrels. Nuances of warm leather, caramel and coffee. Soft tannins, with Good fescura, A very pleasant mouthfeel, soft tannins, well rounded off. A fresh elegant wine with a long finish.
The vineyard stands out due to the proximity of the winery itself, quite unique within the Rioja region and a factor which enhances quality, reducing the transit time between the picking and delivery to the winery.
The land is made up of different soil types, including lime, marl and sand (unique in the northern area of the Rioja Alta) and combined climatic conditions, with gentle Mediterranean conditions influenced by Atlantic weather patterns, producing excellent harvests.
"Ederra" means Beautiful in Basque language. On the label, there is the official stamp of the Spanish Royal family, indicating that this wine is an official good of the Spanish Kingdom.
