Calabria Family Wines is a dynamic family-owned company that was established by Francesco and Elizabeth Calabria in the bourgeoning NSW Riverina in 1945. Calabria Family Wines, today is under the guiding hand of their son, Bill Calabria. While largely self-taught, Bill has an instinct and passion for the industry and a strong philosophy of keeping it personal, which has ensured that the third generation of the Calabria Family now participates in the family winery. Bill's wife, Lena and their four children, Frank, Michael, Andrew and Elizabeth are actively involved in different aspects of the winery.
Bill and his family are committed to producing outstanding premium wines that have won them an array of international accolades. Their company’s motto “Primus Inter Pare”, ‘First among equals’, underpins everything the company represents, as the Calabria family have made wine their life and passion, resulting in both 2009 and 2010 with Calabria Family Wines being announced ‘Family Business of the Year.’ Little wonder the Calabria family embodies all that has made their success story the envy of winemakers around the world.
The Calabria Cool Climate Series is focused on producing the highest quality wine from small hand selected parcels of fruit with intense flavours.

The Riesling is made with the gentlest of handling preserving the delicate fruit flavours. Harvested in the cool of the night, the fruit is gently destemmed, crushed and pressed in an air bag press.
The juice is cold settled and using only the clear juice is fermented slowly at cool temperatures until dry. The wine is then carefully stabilised and filtered before bottling, ensuring that all the fruit flavours are captured.
